REPORT #48: I Read Reddit Hate on a Big Screen. In Front of Everyone.

On Monday night, we premiered Older Hotter Wiser at Fouquet’s in New York City. It was intimate, emotional, and one of the most meaningful nights of my life. What made it even more special was that it was not just a premiere. It was a community event. We invited you in. So many of you showed up in pearls, gloves, and gowns, and we donated one hundred percent of the proceeds to Planned Parenthood. It was a beautiful reminder of what this community stands for. Showing up for each other, showing up for what matters, and looking damn good while doing it.




It felt so good to connect, to celebrate, and to spend time with so many of you in person. If you are feeling FOMO, do not worry. There are plenty more events to come. And of course, we are breaking it all down here. Because what is better than an SFK event recap?
REFLECTING: Before the screening began, we gathered for a cocktail hour. After an hour of drinks, hugs, and catching up, we sat down to watch four of the seven episodes of Older Hotter Wiser. I was nervous. More nervous than I expected. I kept wondering if the jokes would land and if the story would connect. Even though I believed in what we created, this was the first time I was sharing it with a live audience, and there is a different kind of vulnerability in that. Especially when I go there—yes, straight into the Reddit hate. But the real moment that changed everything…?
