Report 43: I'm reading the book Saxon read on The White Lotus
& whoever invented "chafing spray" should get a raise
I’m so excited that I’ll soon get to announce a project I’ve been working on for three fucking years. In a world obsessed with instant gratification, I’ve learned that the most meaningful projects are the ones that take time.
I can’t say too much yet—but get ready. I’m about to go the fuck off. And I can’t wait to bring you behind the scenes right here on Substack.
To everyone who’s been following, liking, commenting, engaging—you’re the reason I get to do what I do. I hope this reminds you to keep going after your dreams!!!!!!! LFG.

READING: When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron. This is the book that Saxon was reading on the boat in the last episode of The White Lotus, so I was obviously very intrigued. When I was in elementary school, the teacher made us pick one religion, it didn't matter which one or if you were practicing that religion or not, and you needed to do a deep dive on it and present it to the class. I picked Buddhism, a religion I knew nothing about and I remember being completely enchanted with many of their principles. Years later, reading this book and being reminded by themes in White Lotus, I understand more why people in the Western world are attracted to Buddhism teachings.
Author Pema Chodron’s short essays offer help on how to deal with living in difficult times like the ones we are experiencing today, how to cope with the grim realities of modern life, including fear, despair, rage and the feeling that we are not in control of our lives. I recommend you pick it up to add to your list of tools to remain centered through the storm (I’m also getting more into meditation, but I’ll share that another time.)
EATING: I recently received a delivery from The Love Bakery and it fucking fucks. It’s female owned and all of the baked goods are vegan, gluten free and has no refined sugar. Their peanut butter brownie and banana bread are so fire!! Couldn’t recommend more.
PROUD OF: For years, I told my team never to bring me anything in the intimate care space. Most of it has been built on shame, with outdated and sexist messaging that implies women need to be fixed, scrubbed, or sanitized. That has never been my vibe, and it never will be. And I don’t just partner with brands to be a face. I do it when there’s real alignment. So when Niches & Nooks asked me to be their Chief Nooks Officer (yes, that’s a real title), I said yes because of what they stand for, not in spite of it.

So when I first opened the Niches & Nooks brand deck, I braced myself. But instead of the usual tone-deaf language, I found something completely different. The brand was smart, funny, beautifully designed, and, most importantly, rooted in empowerment—not embarrassment.
It didn’t just avoid the shame narrative. It flipped it on its head. Niches & Nooks celebrates the parts of ourselves we’ve been told to keep quiet. And if you know me at all, you know that’s exactly the kind of revolution I’m here for.
Also, I am obsessed with their chafing spray. If you have thighs that rub together like me, this shit is actually life-changing.

Flip Flops that won’t leave you with blisters (The Row dupes!!)
STREAMING: If you thought Netflix is the only streamer that has OMG documentaries, think again. Amazon Prime Video (the streamer we all have and hardly watch) just premiered a fascinating 4 part series called Spy High about an insane true story at a Philadelphia suburb high school where kids were being spied through their school-issued laptops. Could you imagine your school having hundreds of pictures of you in your own bedroom? I would’ve been expelled lol. But what starts as a Peeping Tom situation, evolves into multiple lawsuits, revelations of privilege, racism, and the involvement of the FBI & the ACLU at the same time.

Lastly, WWSFKD comes to Substack soon, I can’t wait to dive into your burning questions and hear your thoughts! Feel free to drop a question in the comments, xo
